COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Applies to: Fortnite Experiences, Discord, Website, and Social Platforms

1. Purpose
Hive Studios operates competitive Fortnite Creative and UEFN experiences and maintains active player communities.
These Community Guidelines exist to:
  • Protect player experience
  • Maintain fairness in competitive modes
  • Ensure brand and platform trust
  • Promote respectful engagement
Participation in Hive Studios experiences or communities constitutes agreement to these guidelines.
 
2. Scope
These guidelines apply to:
  • All Hive Studios Fortnite islands
  • Discord servers
  • Website interactions
  • Social media platforms
  • Direct communication with Hive Studios
All participants must also comply with Epic Games’ Terms of Service and platform policies.
 
3. Core Community Standards
A. Respectful Conduct
You may not:
  • Harass, threaten, or intimidate others
  • Use hate speech or discriminatory language
  • Engage in bullying or targeted harassment
  • Disrupt community spaces intentionally
Competitive intensity does not excuse abusive behavior.
 
B. Fair Play & Competitive Integrity
Hive Studios operates competitive PvP experiences.
You may not:
  • Use cheats, scripts, or unauthorized software
  • Exploit game-play bugs intentionally
  • Abuse glitches for competitive advantage
  • Attempt to manipulate matchmaking or scoring systems
Exploits must be reported — not abused.
 
C. No Disruptive Behavior
You may not:
  • Attempt to crash or destabilize experiences
  • Spam, flood, or disrupt communication channels
  • Impersonate Hive Studios staff
  • Distribute malicious links or software
 
D. Brand & Content Safety
Hive Studios may partner with brands and sponsors.
You may not:
  • Misrepresent sponsorships
  • Alter branded content in misleading ways
  • Use Hive Studios branding for commercial purposes without permission
All brand integrations are controlled and approved by Hive Studios.
 
4. Enforcement Model
Hive Studios uses a graduated enforcement approach, which may include:
  • Warning
  • Temporary restriction
  • Permanent removal from community spaces
  • Removal from competitive events
Severity of enforcement depends on:
  • Nature of violation
  • Intent
  • Repeated behavior
  • Impact on players or platform trust
Severe misconduct may result in immediate permanent action.
This aligns with Hive’s internal live-operations authority model
 
5. Appeals
If you believe enforcement was issued in error, you may contact:

Appeals are reviewed internally.
Hive Studios reserves final decision authority.
 
6. Platform Relationship
Hive Studios experiences operate within Fortnite and are subject to Epic Games’ Terms of Service and moderation systems.
Hive Studios does not control Epic Games account enforcement decisions.
 
7. Reporting Issues
Players are encouraged to report:
  • Exploits
  • Bugs
  • Security concerns
  • Harassment
Reports help maintain a safe and competitive environment.
 
8. Updates to Guidelines
Hive Studios may update these guidelines to reflect operational changes, platform requirements, or community needs.
Continued participation constitutes agreement to updated guidelines.
